About S.A.BRAND
Shirley was born in Scotland and raised in Canada. She has lived in both Alberta and Ontario in Canada. In Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, in the USA. For the last seven years, she has made her home in Oliver, B.C., where she enjoys writing and is an avid cyclist, trying for 5 days a week through the orchards and vineyards.
After spending most of her life with horses and dogs, both professionally and personally, in and out of the show ring, she is enjoying retirement and writing.
And now in the 'Valley of the Sun', the southernmost Okanagan desert region of British Columbia. Oliver's climate is hot in the summer, with most days hitting 100°F* and a bit chilly in the winter, making it ideal for an active outdoor lifestyle.
Shirley is a member of ITW, International Thriller Writers Inc., headquartered in Eureka, CA, and many other writing groups. She chose THRILLER-ROMANCE as her genre of choice, but is open to Science Fiction, Paranormal, and will be adding non-fiction (in early 2026). As always, you will find a dog or two in every story.

She was born under the sun sign of Leo.
